- All our meat is bought from the local butcher rather than a big supermarket.

- Vegetables are grown in the vegetable patch

- Eggs were gifted by a nearby turkey farm



The significance of buying and supporting local independent suppliers clearly has its health benefits. However, this leads me to question why is it not more of a trend?


Local food creates a sense of community and connection. Like most mammals, humans are social creates and crave this connectivity. Yet it would seem that in our increasingly isolated, digital world loneliness is becoming a growing problem; supporting local suppliers could help this!
